Article about: As has been said, the decal, paint, liner and chinstrap are all post war. I would post the other SS items you purchased from this collector asap.

    Had one similar in the late 70's however it had a proper WW2 liner and chinstrap as I remember these fakes have been around and in collections for years another example of SS minefield items got mine at a old gunshow, and when I began to take it around and show it was when I found out I had a round bottom fake decal. timothy

    A very poor re-fitted fake decal helmet, good for re-enactors but not collectors, sorry , Leon.

    Thanks for all opinions.
    I got this helmet for nothing.
    The only items I had to pay for were the cover and m43 cap.
