Got this one from the Classifieds on this forum.

It's a very decent Q66 , ex DD (shield scratched off). 1939 dated liner.
All complete and untouched. I was amazed it didn't sell as it was a very fair price especially if you see some of the pots people are considering paying 300 USD for.

Oh man, someone left it on the floor while painting! Look at the drips inside the shell and liner. Usually, you see tar from attic roofs stuck on helmets. They get it when stored for long periods. NH

You can only talk about a paint drip when you see this helmet ? I think I re-discovered why I stopped posting here.

I must say that I considered that one as well Frank, a very decent helmet at a fair price.

Nice pot Frank, I do like a Q M35 Luft. Nice to see the shield removed well too and not butchered up. I must have missed this one, I have a Luftwaffe shaped hole in my wall since I sold my DD Q.

Nice helmet, and a very neatly removed shield! A good addition to any collection. Leon.

Frank, not everyone can appreciate the finer points my friend. ;-) That is a great looking helmet, will go nicely with your DD M35 SS party decal removed.

My comment wasn't meant to be offensive. It is indeed a nice helmet. I am appalled that it was not properly stored during a paint job - that is all. Perhaps the splotches can be removed making it even nicer. NH
