A bit late i know but what a beautiful and rare helmet and here in england as well. Im glad that we here have something to offer all you lucky people who seem to be able to get your hands on something special. I dont know if this helps but i have a pretty good little book entitled "GERMAN HELMETS 1933-1945" a collectors guide by T.V.Goodapple, W.R.Maertz and R.J.Weinand volume II they have some lovely colour photos on all types of helmet and decals as well as the history of the development of german helmets , i dare say that some of you have this book but i find it invaluable.
Hello Ade , what maker and lotnr stamps does this helmet carry ?
How did you determine this one is real ?
Thanks as always for the comments.
It is lot numbered "11790". However, the makers mark and shell size are very lightly stamped and are not legible. But the liner band is a "64Na/56". No doubt you will be able to tell the maker from the shape of the shell.
I have made a study of these over the years. There are various fake decals around and I can tell you this does not match those. I wil not give the sizes of the decal as this would help the fakers. I know you will understand.
Cheers, Ade.
I think it's an SE with the pronounced lip at the front
Here is a chart which shows the basic shapes between makers.

Cheers, Ade.
The more I look, the more I think it is an "EF"?
Cheers, Ade.
