DD Army M40

Has anyone else seen this? It looks to me like a single decal army M40 with a fake shield. I don't think it is 100 percent original but if it is, then this is one of the rarest helmets out there...

So what maker is DN then, it says its on the side skirt which suggests maker and size, never heard of period helmet with that maker mark

Hi Dave, DN is a marking applied by Quist. Thought to be some kind of Patent stamp. Just look a the big fat vent hole, typical of this maker.

Stupid thing is, ive got a M40 quist, i could have compared it, the damn things sitting right in front of me
