DD Civil Police Helmets 1 black, 1 Grey

I bought this first helmet from a co-workers father who liquidated his collection. I believe it to be 100% original untouched. I know these are not that uncommon but I like the condition of this one. Police square dip helmet, liner with top pad, bordered police eagle, and party shield. I welcome any opinions on this helmet. Thanks, Al.

nice lid there isnt it missing its leather neck gaurd?

This bugger I bought online from an ebayer in the Czech republic ( bad move on my part) For starters the helmet is tiny, almost child sized. The decals I believe are fake, the eagle lacks the same detail as the other helmet and may actually be a bit smaller. The helmet has been painted over in grey which I know was sometimes done during the war, but the areas around the decals are painted a different shade. Probably in an attempt to cover up the fake decals. I know there were variations on these police liners but i don't know if this is one or a fake. The liner & top pad appear too new in comparison to the chin strap. Is there anything authentic on this helmet besides the shell ? Thanks, Al.

I think the neck guards were only used on the Fire Police type

Uncluttered photo's are the only way to go. Unless you are showing off the rest of your stuff in the background.
