Default DD DRK Helmet - Prototype M34 Shell

I have been a bad boy the last few weeks. *This is the other helmet I picked up (thanks Chris!) - a double decal DRK on what I consider to be a prototype M34 shell. *By prototype I mean one of those rare M34 shells with a single seven hole vent on each side and a somewhat strange shell shape, which in certain angles looks like an M35! *Anyway, this one has original factory smooth dark green paint and double Deutsches Rotes Kreuz decals. *The shell is unmarked. *The size 56*liner is in pretty good shape but only a portion of the chinstrap has survived. *The shell has some rust, but is in decent shape overall. *Hope you like it. *Jim G.

Another I have never seen ! Add this to the never ending list of "anomalies" I guess we can consider it as. I know Jim you have been asked many times over the years to put together a reference book on "civic helmets" & rare models. Would be nice to see. You would probably require two or three volumes to show them all.
    Interesting DRK. Thanks for showing

    Well done Jim.

Agree with David. A book on civil helmets / anomalies would be great.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

There's no doubting that one Jim, as unusual as it is, everything about clearly screams "period piece"! Yet another example that I doubt will ever find a brother to sit alongside, well done. Leon.
