This one looks good, I would want to check out the liner myself but it could just look funny from the water / blood damage in it. I remember the '42 luft but whats the deal with the KM you mentioned? He gave it you half price or?
the liner its hard but not cracking. the km helmet he had as well so i said could i swap the sd m42 for this one and whats the very best price on the km

Looks a much better helmet this one,a nicer peice than a M42 in my opinion any day!!
othanks guys thats realy good to hear can u treat the liner with any thing to make a bit more softer its not real hard but should i just leve it i need some good chin straps now.
I wouldn't treat the liner with anything, generally that is the best rule.
Nice DD Lufty lid Geelong, just a bit 'iffy' on the liner - it just doesn't match to my eyes. There is no wear on the rim edges, not even a scuff as far as I can see.
I'm leaning toward an all original that someone has re-leathered at some time and treated with some liquid.

I like the paint and decals on that one, but not the liner.
When I look closely at the liner (after clicking on the image), I am sure I see metal eyelets in the holes where the drawstring would
go. Maybe it's just my eyes, but if not, the leather is definitely "iffy" to say the least.
Brad.
yea i looked at that to theres no wear around the liner size is 58. theres no metal eyelets there but the liner dosent sit well around the rim as u can see
Good call Brad, I see the grommets (or marks from removed grommets) too now. Might be Czech M53 leather.
