"In all my years as a soldier, I have never seen men fight so hard." - SS Obergruppenfuhrer Wilhelm Bittrich - Arnhem
Not sure about the seller right now, but the guy he bought it from is not a dealer.

A good example of a Luftwaffe M35 reissue.
=)
I would say yes to this being a great original. The decal is correct IMO. Welcome to the wonderful world of collecting Luft helmets! I got my first a few months back. It is very similar to this one...it was also in combat and has severe blood damage to the liner! The decal is the same as mine, so I know it's good. I say get it for $650.00

Thanks guys! I didnt want to step all over this thread but I felt it might be as a ref.
Yeah, I recently came to the conclusion its been either corpse cut as said, or sinply ripped off the dead soldat. There's drips leading to the dome of the lid where blood had pooled and now the blood has caused it to rust a little.Oh well, the evidence of the last few moments of this poor young Soldat's life.-RIP! Here's the link to the original thread I posted.
As for the helmet that started this thread, I say ,"Get it, my friend!". Unless they want more than $650!

Dean
