Do you try the helmets on???

I was wondering do any of the guys try their german helmets on their heads.i have found they look at their best on a human head.i have tried mine on with the zeltbahn, and mosin nagant deact ,and thought i was in stalingrad.It really looks fantastic especially with some period kit.go on admit it you do?lv

I used to do that when I was a kid. After I had to wear one for duty, I started looking at our "toys" differently.

i tried my m35 when i received it and it's a big size so it was fun to try it but it made me realize how heavy it would have been to run with that on their head . And no i wasn't looking especially good with it on my head it look better on my foam head lolol!

None of mine fit on my fat head. Saying that, the only people who they do fit on are a couple of my mates tiny girlfriends. The Germans mostly had tiny heads back then..

I did have the same feeling! Sold my first collection after I was in service.

But I used to ware a repro FJ on the bike, until last year.
Now a converted M1 for mounted police.

How could you not? They're just sitting there calling out for someone to try them on!!

Speaking of bikers helmets, this reminds me I have to get in touch with my uncle....he said he has a German helmet he was going to give me that's sitting in his garage. He spray painted black and wore when he used to ride....should make for a good restoration project!

i wear mine sometimes, my wife hates it, i'll wear one when we are sitting watching tv. it pisses her off!
