You could paint it and put in a fake liner from Ukrain. Best to finish it of on the gunrange and put a some rounds in it.
Hit it with a hammer and see how strong it is.

I have just today, received a cheap liner for it and it fits.. size 68.
Just need some pins and some paint and the birds will have a good feeder.
Although I'm sure the ornithologists, will try and strangle me..

when you measure you indeed do this from the outside for the shell size. There are a view good dealers out there. BTW 68 is a big size you don't see often. but in this case the helmet is fake

At the moment, I do really like this helmet, every time I see it, it just makes me laugh.
