Does this winter cammo helmet look authentic or did someone paint it white and leave it out in the rain for a couple of days?
Any thoughts?

The paint is a little to fresh for me.
I believe the liner is one of the Norwegian post war dye jobs.
I have serious doubts.
im really not liking that paint job there is very little wear and it looks like it was done yesterday (you can see the brush marks) no idea on the liner
As all ready mentioned by SteveR it would appear to have a dyed red liner as used n norwegian post war helmets two other things strike me as a little odd one is that there is red rust around the rivets and a smear of it on the side of the helmet which would indicate to me it is quite recent. And the white paint would appear to be a gloss or semi gloss paint which I find a little odd.

Steve is correct. Norwegian liner (that reddish brown is unmistakable), and the paint...? Well, lets just say its probably still wet!
Stay clear, save your money...and well done for posting before buying.

Carl
The paint certainly doesnt have the patina of a real wartime applied whitewash, dont forget, the idea was to be able to wash the paint away when winter ended not as a semi or permanent application with lead based paints, the liner is i believe one of the Norwegian dyed types
Boy you guys are good. I had my doubts about its authenticity myself. This is why I love the forum. If I would not have checked it out with you guys I could have wasted a lot of money.
Thank you all for participating and helping.
I would pass on this one.
fresh paint.
Norvagian decal.
Probably some ebay helmet.
