All I can tell you is the crown and two crosses beneath is Danzig. I have a vague recollection of seeing this decal before, but cannot put my hand on a pic of it.
Cheers, Ade.

Very Nice ... I have a youth helmet with the same logo on the side. I will set my self up to display some pics. I am a new guy please bare with me. Thanx Geester
what kind of helmet is that? I've never seen one like it!
like ade says it is a Dutch helmet, model 34, that has been used by some organisation in Danzig. I have seen more like these. But not common though!
Cheers, Emile
All i gotta say is " amazing laundry service "
Ah nostalgia, the Swastika laundry van is actually a film prop, used I think in a TV series telling the story of German spies in Ireland during the war. But the laundry existed. I remember seeing their vans around Dublin in the sixties. Even though a small child I was surprised because I knew the association with the swastika. There were painted red and white by then.
Incidentally that picture seem to be taken in army barracks where I served as a reservist. That building in the background was a stores where I was issued my uniform. But it was also a treasure trove for any militaria enthusiast. I saw various bayonets for the Lee Enfields of different lengths, '37 pattern webbing, Brodie Mk 2 helmets, plus various items I couldn't identify at the time. I wonder what happened to it all? I know where some of it went as my unit was issued with full set of brand new 1937 pattern webbing around 1983. I still have mine.
Ill be Back ... Im having problems figuring out how to get my pic to the blog .. Geester
