    Good afternoon Gents,

I have a SA Helmet in my collection and I want your opinions! Its a "Luftschutz Helmet" which was used from early SA Troops, with hand painted brown colour. The decals have a silver underground, as i can see by the little damages on the decals.

Sorry, the decals are bad. The graphics of the bird are all wrong, as are those of the other decal. One dead give away - the points of the insignia on the other decal should not touch the outer circle. This is definitely not an original SA helmet. I will try to pull mine out of storage and post pictures for a comparison later this weekend if i have the time. Jim G.

First box I looked in! This is a correct one piece luftschutz SA helmet, it is just missing the plastic chinstrap. The decals aren't in the best shape, but should be sufficient for comparison. Again, I am sorry, but I do not think the one that started the thread is right. Jim G.

Jim I agree 100% with you, both decals are bad on the subject helmet. Yours are textbook.
