Hmm, I'll see if I have time to make a thread on how to identify Norwegian helmets/liners etc this week, I'm not an expert or anything, but I know a bit about them.

Looking for militaria from HKB 31./977, HKB 32./977, HKB 38./977 or militaria related to Norway
That would be cool, the reworked German ones are very easy but these other variations are new to me.
Thanks for the quick and informative responses! So the guy is asking $250 (too much for an obvious fake). Any ideas on the value of something like this (I'm thinking sub-$100 USD?). In response to KradSpam, did the Japanise replica's come with the markings (Q64, etc?) or could this be a reworked origonal helmet that was turned into a knockoff?
Decals is fake. Liner taken from the Italian helmet
You have a postwar painted M40 with fake SS decals, and what looks to be some sort of postwar east-Europe liner? Might have been reissued to the fire department postwar.

Any value?
Hairypaw,
I forgot to add that the big give away that it's an Italian helmet liner is that the size of the liner is hole-punched into the liner leather under one of the chinstrap bales.
In terms of value... not much. Hopefully you didn't get ripped off.
You may be able to squeeze $75 out of the steel shell to someone looking for a shell to restore for reenacting. Italian M.33 helmets and liners are a dime a dozen, at least in this corner of the world. The leather chinstrap and rectangular bales tells me that the liner is from an original WW2 Italian helmet... so there may be some value there to someone... BUT I wouldn't pay anything for it.
Thanks much to all for your honesty and expertise!
