Hi Guys,
I bought this one a couple of years back as a repro just for display purposes, as I would never be able to afford a real one
It was clearly sold as a repro SS M42 Normandy woodchip camo on WAF estand, in the bazzar section,
and there was no intention to sell as an original.
I'm no camo expert, but I reckon the guy did a pretty fair job, although if you look closely at in in hand, tooling marks can be seen
in some of the wear areas, the shell is a genuine M42 NS66.
Brad.
Hi all. I'm new here. Interesting forum. I have a couple ww2 helmets, a m40 q64, and an m42 with no markings except a 24. After reading all this, I think my m40 is real. Not sure of the liner. Though the m42 was also but now not sure. Is it ok if I post a few pics here for the experts?
The best place to post them is in a separate thread. Here is a link: Steel Helmets at War relics forum
Thanks for the help!
This is an incredible fake almost got me for a real one! You can find this picture on War Relics but never mind searching for it!
Peace!
Or do I most of his posts Richie.
