This one is for sale locally, and I was hoping to get some opinions. I've always wanted one, but they're usually fake or too damned expensive. Sorry for the pictures, I'm waiting on more from the seller. Any opinions would be most appreciated. Thanks.

    Todd

Based on those pics, I'd leave it where is.
Not because i am an expert on FJ lids, but because when I see a lack of even half decent photos, I get suss.
It may just be me, but I whenever I see this kind of pic quality, alarm bells ring for me.

Thanks guys. As it turns out, this isn't local. Its a scam. The seller posted on the Detroit Metro Craigslist, but actually lives in Poland. Oh well.

Yes, yes he did. Here's the email I received when I inquired about better photos:

Thanks for your quick answer. I send the photos of my collection.

I live Poland (EU) now. I lived in US for almost 2 years but i already got back home to Poland (EU). And i have an interest in WW2 history for a long time. From time to time i take my metal detector and detect places of historical interest and local battlefields. I mostly collect german daggers and helmets.

I have 100% positive feedback on our EU auction site Allegro:

I send 2/3 parcels to US each month.

Well known con artist(s). Discussed often here. Good that you caught it. He (they) typically posts on Craigslist.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
