Great helmet, nice to see a textured M42 with almost pristine condition decals. Most M42 have considerable wear, the Orpo finally moved from guard, rear security and "Aktion" duties to anti-partisan and even frontline fighting by this date.

My first M42 police I ever had I saw for sale on Dave's site a few weeks ago. I almost bought it in a fit of nostalgia before sanity and the reminder of full shelves kicked in.

I would buy Dave's Quist M40 if I didn't already have one, and wasn't looking for an M35 Quist now. The one I have is very similar to the one he has with slightly less loss to the decals.
