German Decals/insignia

Were German decals used on any other Axis forces helmets during ww2 period.

Not that I am aware of....I have not seen third reich insignia on another Axis helmet..

Although, helmets captured by the Germans from defeated forces were often reissued to luftschutz, civil defence and factories, and these bore some TR insignia, as they were being used by the Germans....it is also a fact that German helmets were used by axis forces, the Japanese used M 35 helmets for a time and luftschutz were used by te Bulgarians for example, these had their own insignia applied

I believe metal shields were used on French, Italian pith helmets, and i have an English pith helmet with TR insignia brought home by a vet

You can find Luftschutz decals on nearly about every continental European armies helmet, lots of Czech helmets are outfitted with Heer decals as well.

I've heard of Germans using British tropical helmets before.

I have read some where that Italian SS troops used a smaller version of the SS shield on their mdl 33 helmets.

I forgot about the pith helmets!!! They did issue Italian pith helmets with TR insignia...

I dont think they were issued with the shields, it was up to the soldiers to put them on or at unit QMS
