German helmet?

hi everyone, i was wondering if this was an original ww2 helmet and liner, i know that the camo and wire aren't. i know it says post war a lot in the description but i thought after ww2 they stopped making these helmets? so is the shell and liner original? thanks for looking and hopefully helping!

Its not ww2 period in any form, the liner is post war as is the helmet, paint scheme post war, helmets like these were made post war but not always marked, its ok for re-enacting but thats all, as for price i would say $70-80, if it exceeds the $110 price tag then someones getting a bad deal

No part of this helmet is pre 1945 manufacture. Not worth anything to a collector of original militaria.

that is a bit of an elietist coment ,,BUT it is original militaria and it does have a place in colections
for what it is ,,a post war helmet ,,and these are geting rare now

Its an original post war BGS or border guard helmet, west german....

He has ruined a perfectly good M53 helmet!!!!!!

I don't see what's elitist about that comment , this is the 35-45 German helmets forum so for anyone looking for an original German WW2 helmet this helmet is a worthless piece of crap. Even if the shell was 'real' it would still have been ruined. It is what it is.
