That's a good price for any relic. Most will fetch more than that, though the postwar paint job will have hurt the value somewhat. Relics are at their best when they're unmolested, as they were when they came out of the ground.

Any extra value has already been negated by the bizarre paintwork. £30 is about right for a shell without any paint, which is what you would have if your removed the whitewash etc. If it had original paint then it may have been worth a little more. But as collectors value is very difficult to say as we all have our own ideas. Fundamentally this is a collectors forum and not gumtree.
You'll find similar being sold at most UK Fairs by Relic dealers for about that or perhaps a few quid more. A few years ago these were a novelty but nowadays there's a number of dealers selling "dug-ups" - they're a nice low cost way of getting into a market where good quality bits might cost you hundreds or even thousands.
This one LOOKS like its had a good wire brushing or chemical treatment and then an outer coat applied...painted badges were not the German approach to markings late in the war (although the Brits loved a bit of paint on the Home Front!)...the Germans used transfers or decals
