The NVA M54 has been discussed here before. I simply did a google image search "east german helmets" and found this. Unfortunately I can't make it bigger, but you should be able to see the DDR Flag in the background and the unusual helmets being worn...they called them "Kesslerbombe"...

And the first Helmet in this Tread is a manipulatet Nva Helmet or is this Model offical? Sorry i'am from the ex DDR but this is not my special theme. Iam looking for Ammo.

Yes, it's a manipulated NVA Helm...trying to imitate a super-rare M45...

Was the M45 in the Fronteinsatz or was it only a Muster betwen a Prototype?

Danke! That has been debated by some. I don't believe it went further than Prototyp myself...Perhaps others know a bit more...

Thanks i have never see this Helmet but I know that the NVA helmet was a Projeckt for the Wehrmacht. The second Helmet on this Tread i have dont know that is existiert. sorry speak not good english :/

The M54 is very rare (and very ugly)... I've seen them sell for 500 Euros at auction...welcome to the Forum by the way!
