A friend from me says it is a a Prototype or a early model from a NVA helmet from the 50's or early 60's years.

No offensive, I believed that this strange helmet is not made in China, but Europe or America. And it's clearly by a guy who really got lots of balls.

Compared with the drawing, I think the location of the shell rivet is also weird, but not sure.

Does any oringinal one even really existed?

As I know, here is only a guy named "Brian"(?not sure did a lot of reseach on this rare item. But still, a lot of argument are remained.

So, since now on, I still have no idea of this mysterious helmet but legend...

My only input on this is...anything from China must be put in a differ realm...for they copy everything...to look like originals. Anything is possible...could be a lagit item, but since one said China...Confucius says...be aware!

Greetings to all members of this excellent Warrelics forum. I am a collector and I buy and sell on eBay, among other places. The helmet in question at the beginning of this topic is one of a series of reproductions that I made at home. I used the modified shell of a Vopo helmet and completed it with a rare Bundeswehr liner and a repro chinstrap for M42 helmets. It's not a perfect work, just a good try. In the listings I clearly stated that these were replicas. And I am not from China. I am from the US.

    Best regards.

    Puggy
