I can't speak to the pith helmet but the top one is a commercial helmet, probably a post war Erel, with a fake party shield.

Yes it's a Vulkanfibre helmet, commonly made postwar.

After looking at the price tag ($135.00) on the FJ, there is no deceit intended IMO.
As for his intentions on the rest of the items, I am not so sure.
Best to give this fella a wide birth.
