German helmets.... a collection I bought locally a few years ago.

and the only answer to displaying them all, is to expand to a bigger building!

D, are you the chap that has opened a sort of museum with some of the items left behind as i seem to remember viewing a piece about someones collection that exceeds almost every other museums original items

jersey34 owns the only private collection on permanent display in Jersey today ,there were others but over the years these have all gone

I am frustrated at only being able to display 3 of my 6 helmets at a time. I couldn't imagine having 100's stashed out of sight.

I still love the thrill of the chase so to speak, hearing about a new piece of kit and tracking it down is a major part of the fun for me. I know what I have and putting items on here for you all to see is fun as well. These days I have so much kit I am concentrating on collecting soldbuch/wehrpass and photo albums from German soldiers who were stationed in the Islands during the Occupation...please email me if you have anything you think I would be interested in at damienhorn1@gmail.com
