German Red Cross Helmet

Article about: I agree the liner looks wrong for this type of Helmet, but if the decal is fair dinkum, I'd pay 200 bucks for it.

    Default German Red Cross Helmet

I have been offered a German Red Cross helmet for $200.00. Pictures attached. It came from a lot containing other wwii items that have appeared to be authentic. Does this helmet look good and is there any collectible and dollar value for this style german helmet? Is it rare?

I do not believe it is combat but more a service organization. Please let me know if worth getting. If I do not keep it I would like to resell or trade and not lose money.

    Thanks
    Joe

Those holes on the side confirm what you said about it being a non-combatant helmet. I think the experts will need a close-up of the decal to determine if it is original.

Any other comments on this helmet? Is it worth $200.00? Or more ?

Im sorry but that is the only picture provided; I can ask for a closeup. we will see. It did come out of a group of items including a luftwaffe buckle which I posted in the belt&buckle forum that appeared legit.

It looks like it has a chance of being right, but clearer photo's are needed of the decal and true life color pictures to see if the gray is correct DRK. If it is real, $200 is a steal. Jim G.

Jim - is this helmet's value due to its rarity or maybe its survival in this condition or were there not many DRK personnel?
