I agree the liner looks wrong for this type of Helmet, but if the decal is fair dinkum, I'd pay 200 bucks for it.

I would be very cautious. The closeup you got is on a bad angle and poorly lit. Ask this guy for a clear, well lit, non flash glare picture of the decal that is head on not on an angle. The fact that the liner is incorrect is already a huge problem.
If he cannot or will not provide them then walk away. A real DRK on this shell is worth far more than $200.
I was able to find the pictures of the other two german helmets that were sold by the same dealer as the red cross helmet. All three came out of same source according to the dealer.
Someone who gives such crappy helmet pictures is really not in tune with the flow of how things go.
how should things go?
all I know is he is an antiques dealer and not a military collector or military history buff like us. And I think he crammed all the pictures into a single picture for ebay upload or something. people like us that collect militaria understand the need to clearly show the item - both for authentification advice and for use as a reference for other collectors. I do not believe the dealer is trying to hide something or be sneaky.
additional pictures were provided and it looks like there is a marking on the inside shell but hard to make out in pics. Looks like DRP Thall and a large A or H.
Do these pics allow for a better review of the helmet?
I still like this helmet,,,
