The paint looks a little fresh for my liking. Exterior shiny while interior is dull. And the exterior is remarkably scratch free.
An interesting M35. Looks to be an early nonreinforced liner band and the interior seems all fine as does the chinstrap. The exterior is interesting too .... it certainly seems to exhibit age and patina and if you look closely, several layers of paint. Usually faux finishes have no layering to them even though ageing paint is now quite advanced and convincing.
Close up photos of vents, rivets & the rim would certainly help IMO.

I really like the overall look, old dark rust bleed through the paint, seems to indicate real age to the paint with a good all round patina.
Looks pretty convincing to me!...
I'm not seeing anything that makes me think fresh paint, just my opinion though.
