German ww2 polizie helmet, are the decals real?

I have had this helmet for a number of years.

Isnt this a firemans helmet what with the leather tabs for the neck protection flap at the rear, also it looks like a repaint with traces of white under the black

thank you gentleman . how does one dispose of this junk other than the dustbin.? i will never knowingly sell fakes.

not really a fake, its a real helmet but just not what its purporting to be, you could take it back to its original form, thereby leaving a firemans helmet and sell it as is

dont toss it! it's still a good helmet, yeah what the other guys said, just get it back to it's original paint or use it as a "what to look out for"
