Congrats - great score. I tend to like the larger helmets
myself, but That is a really nice unmessed with lid
by the looks of it.........!

Steve.
Thank you Steve
Wanna go to garage sales with me? I remember standing around in 90-100 heat in MN July - August at Farm auctions with my Grandpa as a kid to bid on a crazy little buckle or bayonet and still passing on it. Rarely if ever to bid on a cool helmet that like. Nice find. If you were not Irish prior to that find you are now bro! Do a jig! The lid angels were watching over you

Perfect been there helmet. All intact with chinstrap, initials, great liner it seems and a fantastic eagle. This is how I like my lids. I would put it in the $600 to $700 range as the only minor drawback is the slight rust on the shell.

Not rust, . . . patina.
Anyway, even at $600 I did good.
Ya I know I was lucky.
I have never even found a decent US helmet at a yard sale.
I never get that lucky at yard sales.
Usually I have more luck at flea markets.
Ya done good! It's all there!
