Default Heer are some FJ, RLB and Imperial helmets you wont see everyday....

Two boxes from FedEx showed up today, and I personally cannot think of a better way to spend a day than opening boxes with goodies inside. As I like to Go Big or Go Home I opened the Big box first.....thanks to Jim G for the wonderful trade, all helmets that filled holes.

The large and small RLB decals on twin M34 medium weight helmets, a combat proven battle damaged DD FJ with cut straps and early cream liner pads, and a stirmpanzer on what appears to be its original M16 helmet. All of these are extremely rare helmets.

The thread by the way is brought to you by FedEx, in case you didn't notice...

And Heer is what makes this double decal Fallschirmjager sooooo special. And rare. It is a Heer double decal M38 Fallschirmjager helmet. (that is why I kept saying "Heer" all the time instead of "here"....oh the irony and comedy...it never ends )

Only 5 of these very early Luftwaffe Fallschirmjager helmets are known to exist. All have the same matching lot number, similar to the SS M35 ET with the Fat Runes decal. A big thank you to author and historian Eric Queen for passing this along and allowing me to be the next custodian of this one, and my current Holy Grail. I never dreamed the day would come....

Only you Mr B could use the word "current" with the term "holy grail"
The rest of us gazing upon your growing Mt Olympus collection are constantly awestruck!!!

( Maybe that should be 'OAR STRUCK' as I feel like I've been whacked over the head as it's spinning at the moment )

    Cheers, Dan

Doug that Army M38 is just awesome, I know you've been looking for one for a long time. Helmets like that sometimes make me want to cash in my whole collection to get one outrageous lid and then start over again. Great score
