Everything looks ok , there is something about the liner which you might be able to solve very quickly, there are a few of the fingers that appear to be double lined which i havent seen before, any chance of showing the reverse of the liner purely out of curiosity

The leather looks far too dry to flip it and it doesn't need more inspection , it's good !

The helmet looks in as found condition and looks fantastic , keep it as is.

Yeah i thought about it afterwards Frank, realised it could be dodgy to do but had to go out so i didnt retract the request, but can you explain the double leather backing, have you seen this before

It may have been reinforced in the field or even strengthened post war. Wouldn't worry about it.
