To true mate,Low altitude fire bombing was the most effective method the USAAF devised to destroy Japans paper and wood cities.
Most people don't realise that over 100,000 Japanese died in one night during the fire bombing of Toyko (Operation Meetingplace 9-10 march 1945).
More than Hiroshima (est 45-80,000) and Nagasaki (est 40-75000).
Last place on earth you would want to wear a paper hat.

Stumbled upon this on Ebay. The seller referenced it as maybe a German helmet repair block or mold. I've never seen anything like it. Any thoughts?
hi , i think this link solves the mystery ,follow the link re spanish m42z helm . it seems to be a molding block for pasteboard/vulcanfibre parade helmets . 3 of this type of molds are shown in the link....pavel

not so daft ....now i would presume the same type of mold was used in the production of german lightweight/vulcanfibre helmets....pavel
