Hey folks. I'm assuming this is a fake, but in the off chance that it's not, I would love to know your thoughts as the seller "seems" to not know what they are doing and are wanting $250 for it. What do you think?

    Hello

To me it looks like newly done (re)paint with round bottom artificially aged decals. I have been wrong before, though

Wait for more and better replies.

Liner looks like a green light to me, my gut says good but I'd wait to hear other opinions.

    Cheers

To me it looks like a "Civic Police variant" complete with dome decal, but the outer decals I'm doubtful on, it may have been repainted as well

It is indeed (trying to be, IMO) a civic police helmet, M34. Interior looks legit, exterior is dodgy. I don't like either decal and the paint is either fresh or polished to buggery. $250 would be an OK price if it was all good. Notice the swas is a bit 'rust' damaged and very toned, but the surrounding paint is mint and shiny. Just my opinion but you can find good one looker helmets if you have $250 to spend.

This is a good police decal, compare to yours.

Agreed - This helmet has had a repaint and fake decals added.
$250 would be ok for a nice, untouched original one.

    Save your money.........!
    Regards,

    Steve.

Done and done. Thanks for the info, as always. I passed. Got another helmet I'm uploading in the US WWII Helmet forum shortly.
