This popped up on a local classifieds site for $75 CAD, the seller says it is "world war 2 era" and is a "mk43" which I assume is a mistake and it's either a mk3 or 4, but I don't know enough to identify. Can anyone here tell by looking at it whether or not it is WW2 era? Even if it's post-war is it a good price at least?
    thanks

How post-war we talking probably? early 50s? thanks by the way. Do you think it's a decent price? Not sure how much they go for, but keep in mind it's local so no shipping.

I asked the seller for the date yesterday but he hasn't replied yet. Where would the date marker be in case he asks?

I haven't actually purchased it yet, sorry if you misunderstood, I'm debating whether or not I should. But like I said the seller gave little info and got the model wrong.

for your referance the mk111 turtle had the high level chinstrap rivits and usually the liner system carried over from the mk11 ,this one has the mk4 shell with the lower rivits much closer to the brim also it has the lift the dot liner system it most probably is korean war period at a guess ,hope this helps ,james

If he doesn't seem to know anything about it, try to get down the price and explain what it is. Personally I have seen these local in Sweden for the half of that price.
