This helmet is being advertised as late 1940's German fire helmet, being a WW2 repaint. Is this correct, or is this just another wanabee?

Could well be a WW2 lid, not a combat helmet by any stretch. Could be a WW2 era fire fightes helmet. Liner is a post war one. Does it have any markings on the rim, and is it a light weight type, aluminium. My helmet of this type from WW2 has a makers mark with a precise date, for example 3/4/1934.
The helmet style, with the salt shaker type holes is correct for WW2, but I thing it has a post war liner. It looks like a WW2 Fire helmet that has been recycled and re lined for ppost war use.
I'd buy it just for the fact itis a reuse of a WW2 lid, an has that novlety value of showing how these helmets were used post war
Thanks guys. I have asked the seller for more info on markings etc. At $75 I may be brave!

If it is marked, $75 may be an ok price!
75$ that's about 7% of a nice original untouched wartime helmet.
