Re: How about those east European ebay sellers with "dug up" helmets?

Most of it was done when the Allies moved through North west europe and vast numbers of Germans were surrendering , the photo in question is on the forum somewhere and as far as i can recall was in Holland or Belgium.
Were they not WWI lids he was perforating with a pickaxe in that photo............?
There are some nice relic helmets out there, but don't pay a fortune
for a rusty shell. $50 to $150 should get you a wonderful
WWII relic helmet.
A European member here on the forum sells relic German helmets
that he has dug up himself............!

Re: How about those east European ebay sellers with "dug up" helmets?
Like many things price depends on what it is !! An SS DD Relic from Demjansk has just sold for 1000 euros in Russia so although it's relic if it's SS it isn't going to be cheap !!

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
