I need help with a Luftschutz decal!

Hello everyone, I'd like to know if the decal on this Luftschutz helmet is an original one or a fake one? One guy told me that it's fake, but to me it looks like an original one.

Thank you! And I totally understand yeah. I just want to know if I made a good deal or a mistake by buying the helmet, since it's the very first WWII helmet that I've ever bought!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on dipping you toe into this addiction. It will not end with just one helmet.

Ralph is correct, we shy away from appraisals. But a search of some of the quality dealers will give you an idea of what full on retail is. If this was a private purchase the price should be below the retail dealer cost on average. Additionally you must take into account the condition of the helmet (everything - paint, decal, liner, strap, etc)...

I've looked at some prices online yeah, but since I'm still pretty new when it comes to helmets I don't really know about how the pricing goes with the condition of the helmet but thank you.
