I was just mooching around on Kelly's page, and this very helmet is his feature for May!

I tried to "snipe" this one on ebay. With about a minute to go the bid was less than $400. I put in a $750 bid and was the high bidder for about one millisecond. Within 30 seconds the bidding was well in excess of $2000! I don't recall what the final price was, but it was beyond what I could have swung at the time. Too bad - it is indeed a unique, and probably one of a kind piece. I would love to have it. Jim G.
