Interesting M42 helmet

I see valid points being made about serious issues going by the photos provided (what else is there to go by?) --- no ridicule. I still stand by what I am able to observe regarding this helmet--- this is not about "textbook" or some rigid collectors standard not being fulfilled, I personally honestly see no reason to give this one the benefit of the doubt... there's just too much wrong here.

No dramas.... it really is a turd but would make a good lampshade as the light streams out of the cracks. That may be all its good for now.
( my retirement project maybe?)

For me there are too many red flags to be comfortable with this helmet...paint up inside the crown? scratches that look like scrapes with 120 grit sandpaper? Sorry Harry, I know you want to defend this vet's lid but for me it's been messed with.
