Here is the website (m 40 ef 66) but you have to register to see the photos. From Google translate, they discuss whether the decal is an KM or Heer.....and it seems the Heers have it. I did not see any mention of the birds legs.

ANother misprint surfaced on GHW so I am converted that this is a good one and it is not a KM, it is a Heer.

NS never made KM helmets? Where is that documented? And even if that is the case; some NS helmets could have been re-issued to the Kriegsmarine. Anyhow, I still doubt the decal is KM.

I checked the eagle and your statement that the detail on both legs was IMO was not good.I checked with a 10x loop and that decal doesn't look good.Their are several members who are good with helmets and see what all the opinions are!

I'd vote lacquer applied, face down reissue Heer decal. Not KM.
