Is this a Kriegsmarine M42?

Would love your thoughts on this one chaps. Is this a Kriegsmarine decal or just a dirty old Heer?

Hard to tell from here. The main ID'ing marks are ruined or chipped away. I think I can make a slight shadow on the swazi- which is good. It can be hard to tell the diff from patina and gold sometimes.

Just a discolored Heer, I would say. You can tell, as it's almost a 2-tone in color, with the lighter areas being almost white.

Cheers Chaps, appreciate your feedback. The decal is a lot more toned than the pictures show. I think where the light angle has caught it, it makes it look light in colour.
I think a hands on is required, so I'll pop it a long to Beltring next month.

I think toned Heer as well. There is no raised edge around the eagle and too many lighter patches for it to possibly be KM IMO. Gold is gold is gold .

I'll run the lid through the GHW database if you give me the maker, size and lot number.

Unfortunately the serial number and maker are not visible. All I can make out is a number 5 to the rear inner skirt.

Another vote for toned Heer as well. No consistency in the gold colour to be a KM.
