    Hi guys,

I picked this up this week and thought I'd share. It's a plain, late war M42 without decals. I love these because they are so under-appreciated yet subtly reflect the state of things in Germany ca. 1944-45.

It's an EF66 and I think the lot number is 5187. Emaillierwerk Fulda utilized slave labor and was among the last of the manufacturers to be awarded a contract for production, so they weren't exactly known for their quality helmets.

It occurred to me shortly after buying this that I already have one of these M42's by EF, so I might actually put it up for trade soon. I'm a one of everything kind of guy.

A nice clean example and getting harder to find.

Does the liner have the beginnings of dry rot?

Good stuff Mo, did someone paint a swastika on the side that has fortunately been removed? Looks much better without it! Leon.

Not sure, but it kind of looks like it!

M, I', not sure if that's dry rot or not because it's kind of flaky but in fairly sturdy shape. I guess time will tell.
