    Hi guys,

I picked this up yesterday. It was brought back from Europe by my friend's neighbor's uncle in Salt Lake City, who was in the 34th 'Red Bull' infantry division during WWII. He also brought back the DAF banner I posted the other day, but I couldn't afford that.

The helmet is a nice large size and a fairly typical representative example of a late war M42. It looks like the liner was taken out at some point but I am fairly certain that it is original to the helmet.

All in all, it's got the perfect amount of wear and I can't wait to get it back to Pennsylvania with its family.

A good one to have, Mo. Getting tougher to find without repro SS decals slapped on the side.

Indeed! Great ( and typical ) example of the majority of helmets that would have been "in the thick of it" in the later war years.

Nice lid...One I'm looking to add to my collection as well. Harder to find these (as Todd notes) as the years go by....
