That's a really great looking Heer M40.

Yes, the helmet section got flooded for a few days, and now it's come to a grinding halt. I might have to pull out another helmet and throw some pics up here.

ok, heres my m42, the guy wrote his name and rank on the liner and skirt several times and it also appears he wrote it again when he got promoted. looks like the name is gefr E Deutchmann.

I have a few named M1's but only one named stahlhelm. This M40 Heer was my first German helmet, and EF62.

It's a salty old combat veteran that belonged to a 'Zöllner'. Unfortunately that doesn't come out too well in photos.
