I would sooner go for a original liner myself even though they are a lot more money than a repro I just like to keep everything about the helmet real but I'm some cases I do buy repro liners

I know but i would feel bad gunking up an original liner and a repro is not historically important

It's okay to buy repro liners, Parts and Liners look at these here, you won't find any better than these out there but may be pricey...

funny thing is they are the same price as the ones on hessen

These ones here will be more promising and better quality or you can check out ebay which are cheaper and they too will work

I persuaded the liner to fit and it seems to work fine

Personally I have found this guys liners to be excellent, he does early aluminium bands as well.
