just picked this up last night , was an ebay lid, its a tan camo with blue/green here and there painted on top of tan, the strap is an oddball but its been on for a long time could be period addition, rgds Dave

dave it is a very nice camo lid mate i would like to hear more on the chinstrap never seen one like that and it looks good hope its a period one for you mate

The strap looks alot like a piece of an American haversack. The buckle is an American one and the webbing looks to be of the same type.
