I think it looks like a new decal on an original shell. See the darker area around the decal as opposed to the rest of the helmet. And the liner looks like it was put in backwards. Stand by for other opinions.

Hmm good point about the darker area. I saw that but didnt put the two tegether.

Can you get a closer pic of the decal???? Have you cleaned the area of the decal???

Liner is definitely in backwards as stated the holes should be at the front.....

The decal looks to low and is a possible repro IMO wing shape and letters look wrong to me.

I disagree regarding the decal, it is fine. The liner is in backwards, but it is an original liner, as is the chinstrap. The draw string is not period. The liner was probably put in by a collector. Overall, it will display well and the exterior is quite representative.
