Luftschutze helmet: Side markings can't find anywhere

First of all, I'd like to apologize for not have the picture yet. My laptop is in for repair until wednesday. I believe I have an M40 or 38? Beaded helmet.. i have numbers inside etc.. but my Question is.. Has anyone EVER seen the markings on the outside..?

XII/33 << that is what is on the outside. any ideas?

You'll have to post pics when your laptop is up and running again, really the only way to get opinions and info.
