Luftwaffe DD M35. SE64 #4032

Just got this in the last few days from the woodwork in Norway. The leather was added but matches really nicely, the pins are the original ones to this helmet though. My only DD Luftwaffe at the moment.

That's a Taliban Jan special ain't it? Scary how good that liner matches. Makes you realize how easy it is to "fabricate" if you will a liner less helmet. Anyway, a super helmet Andy

By the way, how's the hunt for a police lid coming along?

Thanks mate. Yeah it's from JanTalibani, it would be really easy to pass that liner off as having been in there forever it looks that good.

Police helmet hunt is stalled for now. You know the reason why

Great looking helmet Andy, if you had not told me that the leather was replaced I would never have known, it looks "spot on" to the rest of the helmet. I doubt in the future it will be picked up on either ! Leon.

Yup I agree. I am trying desperately to stick to Imperial Officers pickelhaubes but when some good German Steel comes along, well, you know how it goes.
