Nice lid but i'm not a fan of the camo, it looks like it was done with an modern aerosol can!...
I first encountered this helmet in the very early 1970's, I have no problem at all with the cammo finish on this one. I have seen similar helmets in period photos,Nice lid but i'm not a fan of the camo, it looks like it was done with an modern aerosol can!...
and this helmet also has battle damage, where there is some paint flaked off the side, the helmet has taken a hit of some kind, and has actually pushed the side of
the flange on the helmet in slightly, and knocked off the paint. Something a faker would find rather difficult to do. I do understand that there are some who are not
crazy about cammo's but this one I am quite happy with.
